The Sunday Post: A Lazy Day

Today was meant to be spent doing a few more shows at LFW, but I couldn't justify getting up really early for them so I took advantage of my day off. I work most Sundays so I never really get the chance to go to Brick Lane on a Sunday anymore, so I went along to have a little wander. I ended up having a jerk chicken wrap from one of the street food stalls, it's absolutely incredible. If you're a lover of food (like I am), then walking around here is a must for anyone visiting. I didn't want to spend hours here, as it's very busy and I just wanted to have a look for a few things.

I had a little wander into the vintage shops to look for old glass bottles but I had no look. I might save that for when I go back up north in a few weeks, there's always some gems there. I ended up in Spitafields market and picked up this giant brownie for my sister & I to share this afternoon. Very excited to tuck into that later, yummy!

I usually post throughout the weeks what I wear on my face and I always do actually wear those looks, but on a lazy day, I don't wear much at all. Today I applied half a pump of Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum to my face and a tiny bit of Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener under my eyes. There's a little of MAC In Extreme Dimension Lash Mascara, before popping a little of the Hourglass Brow Sculptor through my brows and MAC Brow Set over the top. Topped it all off with a little tinted lip balm and I was done. Just a little make up and very simple.

Oh also, I am moving out next week! I have finally found somewhere and it has happened all very quickly, so by this time next week, I will be all settled in my new room.

Do you like lifestyle posts and would you like to see some more from me in the future?

The Sunday Post: Goodbye 2013

So this is the last Sunday Post for 2013. I'm heading home on Christmas Eve for a few days, back to London to have a second Christmas with Suzie before going back home for New Years. I'm looking forward to New Years as the family and I are heading to a country house for the night. Getting all dressed up with lots of champagne, I like the idea a lot!

In 2013 a lot has happened, both personal and blog wise. This year, mostly towards the end of the year, I put a lot more effort into my blog. I started to see where it was heading and even though it's still very young, there are lots of exciting things coming out of it. I've got myself into a routine and are able to post on a regular basis, which I didn't last year. It has gone from strength to strength, so I'm very excited to see where it's heading in 2014.

As for myself, a lot has happened this year. I dropped out of university and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself. It's not for me and I'm not ashamed to say I left, plenty people do the same. The consequence of leaving meant that I had to move back home for a few months. After being down for a while, I put everything into moving back to London. I landed myself a job in an industry I am passionate about, something which can sometimes be rare. In 2013, I left behind the teenage years and turned 20. It's scary to think that next year I am turning 21, I still look 16!

The Sunday Post: A Weekend In Brighton

As mentioned last weekend, I went to Brighton to stay with Suzie. I had a lovely time, especially as I haven't seen her since the summer when we were wearing shorts! We had a lot of catching up, which meant we had to eat a lot of food too. On the Saturday, we went for brunch at PJ's on the sea front, which was amazing. Suzie & I went for the same pancakes and a side of cheesy fries, which is totally normal. Later that day, we baked gingerbread men and filmed it for her YT channel, which I have a feeling will go up this week. There was a lot of talk about a YouTube channel for Bonjour Luce in the new year, so watch this space…
The rest of the past week was spent working, surprisingly quiet week but I spotted Nick Grimshaw & Eliza Doolittle this week and had a silent heart attack. On Friday I went for a facial at Dermalogica, as I work next to the counter and one of the girls offered me. I left with the most amazing skin, it has never felt so smooth as she exfoliated my skin professionally. So that leads me onto the product of the week which I'm lusting after is the Ultra Calming Serum Concentrate, as it has left my skin so hydrated.
I finally started my Christmas shopping and I'm only left to buy a few pieces come payday next week. But after spying the perfect camel oversized boyfriend coat in Zara, I'm thinking more about that than purchasing gifts.

What have you been lusting after this week?

The Sunday Post: A Little Life Update

So in the past two weeks, there have been a few changes in my life. I'm back living in London and I've started a new job at a skincare brand, which I love so far! I'm living with my sister until the end of January as she isn't here much, but it does mean I'm without internet. This all means that on the morning of each Friday, I spend a few hours in Brick Lane Coffee doing blog bits and pieces. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I picked up a flat white by accident and drank it. Turns out that I actually like coffee, who knew that would ever happen.

This weekend I went to Brighton to stay with Suzie, which was amazing and there will be more to follow next week! I'm enjoying being back in London as I feel more settled here, it's home to me now. Last week I went to a Liz Earle event for their new bath & body products, which smells amazing and I have a few more fun events coming up in the next few weeks.

I've been loving my friends, Jen, blog more than usual this week or so. That girl is on fire with her blog posts, she is my enabler for my purchases. After seeing Anna's new haircut, I'm really tempted to chop a few inches off my hair, but I don't think it will ever look as amazing as her hair. Yesterday I had a mass Into The Gloss reading, that is my favourite blog/website to read. There's never an article I don't enjoy, I could read it for hours.

What have you been loving recently?
