The Outfit: LFW Day 5

Cardigan - New Look (not mine), Shirt - Topshop, Chain & Trousers - H&M, City Bag - Zara, Brogues - Office

London Fashion Week is over and as you can tell by my face in these photos, it's been a tiring week. Bex has gone home and I'm left packing my washing ready to go back up north to visit my parents for a long weekend today. The last day was the best day, I saw Ekaterina Kukhareva in the afternoon and then finished with Tahir Sultan in the evening. Both amazing designers but I have to admit that Tahir Sultan was that little bit better due to the fact I was on the front row. This weekend I'll edit the photos and upload them on here along with a few more posts I have in mind.
It's been an amazing weekend and I've gained so much experience from it, plus it's made me realise that for September, I have to be a lot more prepared with outfits. I've met a lot of people this week and made some good friends, along with bumping into Zoe from The London Lipgloss and Emma from milkteef a few times, who are both lovely girls!

Now I can have a few relaxing days off without having to lug around the Zara City bag, however it's served me well over these past few days.

What have you been up to recently?

The Outfit: LFW Day 4

Cardigan - Urban Outfitters, Polo neck top - H&M, Velvet Skirt - American Apparel, Boots - Topshop, City bag - Zara, Sunglasses - Topshop

Any little bit of sunshine in London and everyone whips out their sunglasses, following suit I realised you get away with wearing them even when the sun has went in, brilliant! Yesterday I learnt my lesson not to wear heels as my feet are killing and today I'm definitely wearing flats. I went for the 'comfy yet cool' look and ended up freezing my ass off once the sun went down, but by that time I was full up with burgers & cupcakes. I took Bex to Hummingbird Bakery & Meat Liquor today, so happy she loves to eat as much as I do!
Today is the last day of LFW which is both good and bad, as tomorrow I go home for a long weekend but today I'm attending a show on behalf of Anna from My Beautie which is exciting, not exactly front rowing yet, but I'm getting there.
Adding to my collection, my latest addition of lipstick is NARS Funny Face. I bought it on a whim when I was upset that MAC Pink Pigeon was sold out everywhere. It's from their semi matte range and the staying power is brilliant, I only had to apply it once after eating. I'm trying to take myself from the deep purples & reds now, by stocking up on brighter colours for spring time. I'm thinking more of those 'in your face' lipsticks.

What has your favourite show of the season been so far?

The Notes: LFW Day 3 Highlights

Blazer - Urban Outfitters, Tee Dress - Topshop, Shirt - Topshop, Necklace - Topshop, City Bag - Zara, Boots - Topshop

So it was my second day at London Fashion Week yesterday as I had to miss Saturday to work! I spent the day strolling through the exhibitions, talking to the different designers. A relaxing day before a hectic next few days as Bex and I have a few shows to attend, which will mean a lot of rushing around in the midst of being far too excited about it all. Over the next week, I will be showing you my favourite pieces I've seen as I've found some hidden gems amongst the designers.

I'm glad to see that tweed is still going to be in next A/W as it's a love of mine which won't go away any time soon. As knuckle rings & dainty jewellery is making it's way into the high street shops, there's a lot more designers creating their own pieces which are a little different. Take the jewellery above, Topshop did a ring a few months ago with that same eye, except here the designer has taken it and used it as a knuckle ring, adding something a little different as most of them are plain bands.

What would you like to see next, street style snaps or something different?

The Outfit: LFW Day 1

Shirt & Jumper & Skirt - H&M, Shoes - Office, Bag - Zara

So today I spent the day at LFW! I wasn't attending shows but I was at the New Look Refuel room where we got to see their new spring/summer collections and got to meet other bloggers whilst drinking bubble tea!

As I was with other bloggers, we took the opportunity to wander around Somerset House to snap some street style. I thought that as I was taking photos of other people, I should photograph what I was wearing too. When I was planning my outfit, I thought that going with a monochrome touch to my outfit, it would fit the season very well as that's all the rage. However I left my make up quite natural, with just a little kohl on my top lashes, mascara and a soft coral lipstick from Bobbi Brown. When I was at the New Look Refuel room, we had the opportunity to have our hair done. He pin curled my hair and brushed it into a modern day curl, something I am loving! Normally when I curl my hair, it doesn't last all day, however it's still going strong 8 hours later. He told me that the way to keep the curl is to pin curl it and leave it in the pins until it's completely cooled.

After a hectic day over there, I spent the night at a launch for a new product what I will talk about soon.  Now it's time to relax before I repeat this whole process on Sunday at LFW with Topshop!

Have you been to LFW this weekend, if not, what are you most excited about seeing from the shows?
