Striped Monochrome

T-shirt - Zara // Jeans - Topshop // Sandals - Office // Bag - Rebecca Minkoff // Watch - Accurist // Sunglasses - Ralph c/o Sunglasses Shop // Rings - Accessories/Daisy London

Now I don't usually post many outfit style photos but as it has been London Fashion Week, I may as well show you what I was wearing. I was only around on the Saturday where I did a little bit backstage at the Whistles show, but it was more about seeing friends and eating food for me. Somerset House was the perfect opportunity to use a beautiful backdrop. I kept it comfortable, knowing that it was going to be a tight squeeze backstage and there was going to be a lot of running around. I've been wearing this outfit quite a lot recently, especially the t-shirt from Zara which was bought on a whim before my holiday. I've been enjoying wearing the cat eye sunglasses as a different look to my Ray Bans. They're not very durable as I have a feeling they may snap if I sit on them, but so far, I have been wearing these every day when it has been sunny.

Falling In Love With A Bag

I've never been a massive bag person, I'm more about the shoes. But there has been a bag I've had my eye on for a while now and last week I found it in the sale in Selfridges, later that day it came home with me.

I know that Rebecca Minkoff bags are becoming increasingly more popular but I really like the simplicity of them and they're the type of bag I use quite often. So the Hudson Moto in black with a white strap is now mine. It was originally £320, which I would happily spend on a bag when I have the spare money, but I ended up getting it down to £104 as it was in the sale and then my friend's work discount on top. It took me a whole 5 minutes to decide whether or not I should buy it and I'm really happy with it. Not only will it go with all outfits, it's a very sturdy leather bag which fits a fair bit in it. This weekend I took it around with me and when in Brighton, it fitted my camera (with a case), purse and all of the other necessities like mini cheddars.

So I'm a happy girl now and I can't stop looking at it in my room. Has there been any bags you've been lusting after for a while?

A Summer Wishlist

It's that time again and I'm making another wish list. I like making wish list as it keeps me in check of what I actually want to buy throughout the months. I don't buy huge amounts of clothes as I'm trying to make a capsule wardrobe.

Not very summer appropriate but my current leather jacket has come to the end of it's time and I need to buy a new one. I've spotted this one in River Island online and in store and I think it may be coming my way. A dress to go under the jacket would be the striped dress from Joules from their summer dress range. I've owned a few pieces of clothing from Joules over the year so I know that it would be great quality and won't fall apart after two washes. Joules is a brand not many people are aware of but that's the country gal inside of me coming out when I see this brand. I kept walking past this shirt in Topshop every time I would go there and I am in love with it. It's a super soft casual chambray shirt in a light blue which I know would go perfect with a pair of shorts or jeans. It's light enough to feel cool through the day but enough to keep you warm through the chilly evenings. For a piece of jewellery, I'm obsessed with this necklace and I can't wait to finally own it. It's the Gold Plated Baby Bee Necklace by Alex Monroe and every time I spot someone wearing his necklaces, my heart melts a little. To finish off, a pair of sandals is needed and I spotted these in the Birkenstock shop a few weeks pack. I'm not feeling the two strap sandals every one is loving at the moment as they don't suit me, but I can imagine these would look cute with this shirt dress from Zara

What are you looking to purchase for the summer?

The Final London Fashion Week Instalment

Am I really dedicating a whole post to the Whistles A/W14 presentation? Yes I am, because it was the most incredible show I've ever been to. On Monday I went along to the Whistles presentation, at first to do backstage coverage but I was late and it was very cramped. In the end I stayed for the presentation and oh my, it was beautiful. First of all I fell in love with the models and then with the clothes. Before realising I was stood near some of the best fashion editors in London. It was a wonderful experience.

It's a collection focused on evening wear, with soft textures, oversized shapes and fluid lines. There is a very muted colour scheme running throughout, something I really like. The lilac is a key colour of the evening wear look, whether it's in the simple tunic which falls below the waist, or a strapless top which comes with cuffs of fabric around the upper arms.

My favourite pieces include the racer back black dress, which flows to a full skirt at the bottom in a beautiful black satin material. As always, the jewellery this season is beautiful, including fine link chains and silver brackets with pear drop pendants. You may look at this collection and think, I would never wear any of this, but do remember that this is not the full collection. There will be plenty more in store and these will only just be amongst the rest. Following on from this winter, I can see that next winter checks will be a winner amongst the girls still. I have my eye on that checked scarf.

As always, the hair and make up is kept very simple. L'Oreal used nothing on the girls eyes and kept the skin very clear and dewy. Brows were brushed upwards and kept bushy, a favourite of everyones. The hair was a centre parting with it tucked behind the ears, sleek but with a little thickening product through the ends. A favourite look of many designers this season.

That's me done with LFW for this season. It ended on a high as after this show, Suzie & I headed to Covent Garden and demolished a pizza between us.
