Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I'm Lucy. I document my life, travels, food, favourites here...

Seven Products Worth The Money

After trying so many new products all the time, it's refreshing to come back to old favourites which always do the job. Whether they're high end or just from Boots, what matters is whether it's worth the money or not.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer - This little boxed bronzer is around three years old and I always, always come back to it. I've finally hit pan on it and I'm so happy that I have one waiting to be opened. It's everyones favourite matte bronzer, perfect for both contouring and bronzing the face. I always think that Benefit's box products are worth the money as they last so many years, depending on how much you use it. This will always be my favourite bronzer and it will always be a good make up day when wearing it.

Maybelline Volume Express Colossal Colour Shock Mascara* - When this mascara first launched, I went through about three tubes of it and wouldn't use anything else. Since then I have been using many others so when I was reunited with this, I remembered how much I love it. Very similar effect to the Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara as the brush is identical, it creates long lashes with a flash lash effect. If you're looking for thicker lashes, this won't give it but its perfect for a natural day time look.

Essie Sole Mate Nail Polish - I'm onto my second bottle of this nail polish, I can go for weeks with this same shade, just applying it over and over again. A rich deep plum shade which is perfect for the winter months, or for all months. Top it with Seche Vite (another favourite of mine) for a super glossy finish.

MAC Pressed Pigment in Blonde Streak - There comes a time in every girls life that the person will need a little glitter, which is when a MAC pigment comes in useful. Go intense and apply with a damp brush to the lid or press onto the lid with your ring finger. I'm already thinking of using this for an inner eye lid highlight on Christmas Day.

OPI Nail Envy - Does this really need any introduction? Second bottle of the stuff, had it year and I'm only half way through it. Consider taking a break from nail polish and apply this every evening to your nails, making them super healthy. It really does help your nails grow faster too!

Urban Decay Primer Potion - The first ever eyeshadow primer I used and there's a reason why this is one of the best out there. I use two primers for my lids, one when I need a little concealer too and one which will keep your eyeshadow in place all evening - this is the latter. Little story - many times have I slept in my make up after too many G&T's, woken up and my eyeshadow is still in place after using this.

Clinique Superfine Liner for Brows* - One of the thinnest brow pencils out there and the most natural out there. Keep an eye out there for a comparison to a very well known eyebrow pencil but I do believe this is one of the best. I use the shade Soft Brown which suits my brows perfectly,  it adds definition and fills in any gaps which often occurs.
