NARS Schiap is a lipstick which I love to look at, it's such a beautiful bright fuchsia shade, but it's so damn hard to pull off. At the end of the summer when my hair was a little more blonde and I was a lot more tanned, I was all over it and I bravely wore it a few times paired with just mascara. Now though, I thought that whenever I attempted to wear it I was either looking overly flushed, too pale or just generally 'meh', but it's a bloomin' lovely lipstick.
So NARS Schiap is a lipstick from the semi-matte range (always recommend that range as it's incredible) which is known to be a cult classic from NARS. A full coverage, long-wearing lipstick which has a very vivid shade. It has all those anti-oxidants and hydrating properties too, but really it's a really gorgeous lipstick shade. But nearly £20 on a lipstick you may only wear a few times? There are options out there for you!
Lord & Berry Shiny Lipstick in Fucsia is one perfect dupe for it. Lord & Berry lipsticks are brilliant, highly pigmented and last for hours! Same packaging as the NARS Lip Pencils, as it's a thin chubby lip pencil which is great for outlining the lips. Both available in a matte or shiny format, I find that this suits comfortably on the lips without being drying in the slightly, with a balmy texture rather than it looking 'shiny'.
Topshop Lip Bullet in Back In The Game is the cheap alternative for the lipstick, again in a chubby lip pencil format. If you haven't tried the Topshop Lip Bullets before, you're missing out as it's a fantastic lipstick for a lower price. Packing a punch just as much as the original NARS lipstick, it's a ultra moisturising lip colour which has a long lasting pigment. Comparing it to the other two, I would say that this looks the most 'glossy' on the lips and wouldn't need a lipgloss over the top to add the effect. It has a handy twist up which requires no sharpening, which is sometimes a pain in the arse.
So, which one is tickling your fancy?
