The Bright Lip Edit

I brought you The Berry Lip Edit last month, now it's time for The Bright Lip Edit just in time for New Years. I am all for pairing a bright lip with a simple eye, especially if a flick of eyeliner is involved. But with so many lipstick choices, I bring my favourite ones which I hope you like at least one.

The Bright Coral - Tom Ford True Coral was my first Tom Ford lipstick and what a good choice was that. If you're looking for a coral shade, this is the most fitting one out there. With a semi matte finish and a pigment which will last a long time, it's a very luxurious lipstick if you're wanting to treat yourself post-Christmas.

The True Red - Revlon lipsticks are very underrated, as the Super Lustrous range was super moisturising with a high pigment which lasts hours. Fire & Ice is a true red shade, think the 60s with a glossy finish. Another pick from the same range would be Kiss Me Coral which was used throughout the last LFW Sophia Webster show, a beautiful coral shade which is more on the red side.

The Bright Neon Pink - If you're heading to MAC and are looking for the brightest pink you can find there, look out for Impassioned in their Amplified Creme finish. Described as an 'amped-up fuchsia', it's a beautifully bright pink-red which has the warmth of a coral with a neutral undertone. It's very nearly a neon shade, which is made wearable for the days with a very creamy consistency and opaque pigment.

The Sheer Bright - The YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in 16 Orange Impertinent is the perfect lipstick which has an intense shine for hours, luscious pigmentation and beautiful packaging. A perfect shade for all year round, but there's a shade for everyone in the range, especially some lovely nudes to join a smokey eye.

The Budget But Brilliant Bright Lip - Lord & Berry is a brand that has amazing make up products, but at a price which is lower than the likes of MAC, with the same quality. The Vogue lipstick in Vegas Sunset is a beautiful dark red with a brown undertone,

The Barbie Pink - This is possibly my favourite bright of the year. One for when I am feeling very brave, not too tanned or it can go on the wrong side of Barbie. NARS Schiap is a semi matte lipstick, a bright pink fuchsia which is super pigmented. A very creamy matte shade, not drying in the slightest with a slight glossy sheen.
