The Budget Buy: Organic Surge Hot Cloth Cleanser

As you all know I try a lot of new skincare so I’m always switching products. Recently I’ve actually got into a little bit of a routine with my skincare, as I kept going back to the same products. A lot of the products I try don’t make it up on here as I don’t think they’re that good, but my latest discovery has blown me away. I first spotted it on Lisa Eldridges Facebook Page and the next day it arrived in the post. Organic Surge Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser* has really, really impressed me.

Organic Surge is a reasonably priced organic skincare brand and I’ve always got along with their products. I’ve found a lot of dupes for higher priced products in their range, which is always a bonus too. The first night I used this I had a full face of makeup on, including smokey eye and lipstick. I applied it onto dry skin as suggested, massaged my face for a minute or so and washed it off using a flannel. It removed everything, including Benefit They’re Real which most of my face cleansers don’t budge. I double cleansed with the same product and my skin was left feeling moisturised and not stripped in the slightest. I continued to use it every night after that to properly test it out, with all different make up to see if it got rid of everything. It really did, including waterproof eyeliner and a dark red lipstick. If you’re into the ingredients and all that shizz, it contains a unique blend of essential oils including orange peel oil, geranium flower oil, star anise oil and damask rose oil. There is a mixture of shea butter and cocoa butter, along with aloe vera leaf juice which will leave your skin clean and hydrated.

I used to reach for Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser every now and then as it’s such a classic, but I prefer the Organic Surge one instead. For 150ml, it’s only £12.50 which is excellent value. It’s available nationwide online or in stores such as John Lewis, Waitrose and Ocado. Plus remember it’s Lisa Eldridge approved so it has to be good, right?
