Going Blonde for the Summer

So I'm a lot blonder since the last time you saw my face on here. I went a little lighter about a month ago and last week I went a whole lot blonder, now I'm loving it! I've always had lighter hair but I let it grow out over the past year and I've been itching to go back these past few months. I went to RUSH Hair & Beauty in Piccadilly London and I had heard brilliant things before I went, so I knew I would be in safe hands. It took two trips to the salon to get me to the colour I wanted but I'm so happy with the outcome.

First time around, I was in the hands of Cameron who put subtle balayage through the ends of my hair using bleach. My hair doesn't take very well to dye so we had to use bleach to achieve the colour I wanted. It lightened it all up but it wasn't quite there. So I went back again and Blair took over and transformed my hair. We decided on highlights around the front of the face and a few around the crown too, before applying even more balayage to the ends. At the end, she mixed together a beige ash toner and a conditioning treatment to strengthen and tone down the hair. I had all the ends chopped off and a few more layers added in as my hair had taken a beaten with all the bleach.

Two products I've been using every now and then are the BLEACH Silver Shampoo* and Conditioner* to tone down any brassiness as my hair has a tendency to go that tone. I expected them to be quite strong for my hair but the conditioner especially is super moisturising and leaves my hair feeling amazing. I'm all for hair oils and the Kerastase Elixir Ultime for Coloured Hair* has been a saviour when applied for dry or wet hair. It leaves my hair super silky and it has a lovely sheen to it after using it. Whenever I wash my hair, I always, always use a leave in conditioner and I haven't used anything else since I received this. The Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle* is amazing if you have tangled hair (curly hair girls will get me) and just need some more conditioning. On top of that, it protects against heat and UV which is something I usually forget about.

Over all I am very happy with my hair and the colour. I'm growing it out a little for the summer now as I've gone a little crazy with the hair cuts recently. But thank you so much to the lovely girls at Chalk PR for arranging this all to get my hair blonder for the summer!
