So Crabtree & Evelyn have asked me to be one of their exclusive bloggers as part of their campaign, Handy Tips, Handed Down, to share my tips which can be passed down amongst the generations. The campaign is being held in aid of promoting their Hand Therapy range, which is formulated with shea butter and macadamia nut oil to help keep the hands nourished. It contains no parabens etc and is avalaible in 18 different fragrances, so there is something for everyone. The Hand Therapy collection itself is a collection of products which have been passed down from generation to generation as a ‘beauty must have’ and is a great tip for soft hands.
I remember that my mum always ensured that I moisturise, especially my body, as I always had/have dry skin. Similar to many awkward teenagers, I started to wear make up but I would only remove it with one particular cream cleanser. As I got a little older, I would steal my sister’s products and it’s funny as I now use a few she used back in the day.
As for my own tips, I have many I would like to pass down to my future daughter. When she starts to become aware of her self image and if she becomes interested in beauty, I will encourage her to always remove her make up and to moisturise. Simple things like cleansing correctly and moisturising will make a huge difference to a teenagers skin. The main tip I would like to pass down is for her not to worry about her skin, as in the end, it’s only skin and you will always have it. Both my mum and I never suffered from bad skin, so I hope that is passed onto my daughter as it makes a huge difference to your self confidence.
Now if you’re excited to get involved in the campaign, or have seen the tips dotting around on Twitter, here is how! Crabtree & Evelyn is encouraging customers to share their own handed down beauty tips through the hashtag #crabtreehandytips across Twitter, Facebook or their microsite! Every tip which is shared across these networks will be automatically entered into a competition to win a family photography experience worth £600 with Venture Photography. On top of that, available to customers who share their tips on the microsite, Facebook app or in store will be able to enjoy a £5 voucher to spend in store or online. So there is something for everyone! Go get tweeting and sharing your tweets, I wouldn't want to miss out on these prizes, just think it could be perfect as a Father's Day gift!
