I was a little apprehensive about wearing totally nude or white nails at first. I didn't catch onto the trend last summer but then a few polishes came into my possession so I tried them out. Turns out I'm a complete convert and love the look so much for summer.
It started with Essie Muchi Muchi, a creamy pink with a white mauve undertone. It looks super elegant on the nails and makes me feel all fancy when I'm wearing it. I love Essie nail polishes quite a lot so I already knew I would love it. Muchi Muchi only takes two coats for it to be very opaque and you're good to go. My next Essie nude is Mademoiselle, a very popular grown up nude pink which I could imagine I would wear on my wedding day. This takes a few more coats for it to be completely opaque but it's worth it. Think of it as Ballet Slippers big sister, it's slightly more pigmented.
The next option is a Clinique A Different Nail Enamel Beige Collection pick in Room Service*. I'm a big fan of all things Clinique and these didn't disappoint at all, even if it did take a few layers to get a good layer of polish. The darker the shades, the better they seem to be but I still keep on wearing the lighter shades. No chipping here though, it will last a good three weeks on the toes and two weeks on the fingers with a good top coat. For a proper white nail I reach for Butter London Nail Polish in Cotton Buds*, a pure white creme. Butter London nail polishes are some of the best I've tried, although a little hard to come by.
Have you tried out the nude nails trend before?
