Mid Week Slump

It will usually get to around Tuesday or Wednesday and I'm planning the weekend in my head. My energy levels are lacking and I need a pick me up. Rather than going for something I wish I could do every week, like the facial I had at Organic Pharmacy a few weeks back which was incredible, I usually go for a hair or face mask.

If the slump arrives around the same time when my hair is due a hair wash. I will draw myself a warm bath, apply the Bumble & Bumble Deeep Hair Mask after washing my hair with the Bumble & Bumble Invisible Oil range. For the skin, a new additions I've been reaching for are the Indeed Labs Exfoliate* which is a powder exfoliater which you mix with water or REN 1 Minute Facial* which I always definitely leave it on for longer than one minute.

While all that is working it's magic, I have been enjoying using some Rituals body products*. Everything from the Shower Oil to Foaming Body Wash is super luxurious. Who knew that shaving your legs with a shower oil could feel so amazing? Because it does and I'm a total convert.

Once I've washed all masks off and finished washing my hair, I will moisturise my body using The Body Shop Strawberry Body Sorbet*. At first I wasn't sure about this as it's such a strange consitency, but now I really love it. The scent is a little sickly for me as I'm not too keen on fruity scents and my flatmate always picks up on it after I have used it. For the face I have been mixing Hydraluron* with a few drops of The Body Shop Vitamin Serum in Oil*, before applying a thin layer of Aesop Camilla Nut Hydrating Cream afterwards. If I'm in the mood for a mask, my hydrating mask of choice has been Thalgo Ultra Hydra Marine Mask*, which is a lovely hydrating mask with a useful brush application. I find that I do still need to apply a moisturiser after this has sank into my skin, but a thick layer of this on my skin does wonders. Thalgo is a new brand to me, but so far with first impressions, I have been impressed.

After I'm all moisturised, wrapping myself up in bed with a hot chocolate and a few episodes of Orphan Black is a perfect way to end the evening. What is your favourite way to get past the mid week slump?
