You may have seen this before but until you have tasted it, you don't understand the hype. Ice cream which is dairy free, gluten free, wheat free and just guilt free. That's because it's made out of bananas. Before you say that you don't like bananas, I don't either, except if it's made in things. You will never catch me biting into a banana as it's my worst nightmare.
All you will need for this is frozen bananas and then whatever added extras to flavour the ice cream. For this particular one I used -
- 2 Chopped Frozen Bananas
- Dash of Milk (whatever milk you like)
- Cacao Powder
- Maca Powder
- Baobab Powder
Simply pop the bananas into a food processor, only a few pieces at a time and start to blend, adding milk as you go to get the consistency you wish. It takes a while for the bananas to start to cream, but once it does, you can add the rest of the bananas to get it going. The powders add flavour and nutrition as they're all superfood powders. Cacao adds a chocolate taste to it, which I will always add as it's my favourite.
To top, I added some granola and pomegranate seeds, picking fruit which are currently in season as they are super cheap to pick up at local markets.
