Lately I've had this large urge to go to Paris this summer, I mean, my heart is screaming out to me to go back there. My sister took me there for my 18th birthday and with the help of the summer & French pharmacies, I've felt the need to return. If I had it my way, I would be living there right now living my own little life as a PR girl, but hey, a girl can dream right? Instead I'm trying to channel my inner Parisian chic by attempting the milk maid braids, inspired by Anna's latest post here and the ever so fashionable Oslen twins.
When I started to attempt this, I didn't realise how much patience I would have to have as I had to re-plait my hair about 5 times until I got it to lie on my head flat! It's quite simple and once you get the hang of it, it'll take minutes. All you need to do it part your hair into two sections, plait them, simply lift them to the top of your head and pin them into place. As you can see from the top picture, my hair isn't at that length where they meet perfectly in the middle. That picture just simply shows me I need those ends chopped and for me to wait a few more months before I can perfect this. I'm thinking this hairstyle for the summer, to simply lift my hair off my shoulders on those hot days (if they ever arrive).
I couldn't pretend I was in Paris without a bold lip so I added MAC Impassioned and spritzed my hair with a little Aveda Brilliant hair spray to keep the fly aways in place!
Will you be attempting this hair style any time soon?
