All beauty bloggers have a stash of sample sachets shoved somewhere in their room, don't deny it. I have a box which I keep all my little ones in, the ones you get in magazines or get given on counters, you never know when they'll be handy. I took a trip to John Lewis a week or so ago, mainly to take advantage of the Origins counter so I could get a facial from them. But I stopped by Eve Lom and had a chat with the woman. I've tried a few products from Eve Lom before but I wanted to know more so I told her I was lacking hydration and radiance and she helped me out with some samples.
I took advantage of my free Saturday night and did a little facial with the sachets. Before I started, I double cleansed with an oil cleanser, something I've found and cannot live without now. I started with the Eve Lom Rescue Mask, which you apply over the entire face and leave on for about 15 to 20 minutes. As it's a clay based mask, I was a little apprehensive when applying it in case it dried my skin out completely, something which the Origins mask did. You rub it off gently in an upward movement and remove any excess with a damp muslim cloth. I suffer from quite sensitive skin, so I was impressed when there was no redness left behind and the little oil I have around my nose was soaked up. Next up it was the Eve Lom Intense Hydration Serum, a moisturising radiance boosting serum for dehydrating skin. I've been using Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair for a while now, which I love and will continue to use. But I was very impressed with the serum, it was very light weight and it sunk into my skin immediately. After serum comes the moisturiser, Eve Lom TLC Radiance Cream was something I was looking forward to using. Although I used it in the evening, it's definitely a morning moisturiser as it was a light consistency, meaning make up would be applied over it well. It combated all my dry patches, mostly around my t-zone after catching the sun the other day. In whatever order you chose, next up is the Eve Lom Eye cream, which hydrates and diminishes dark circles and reduces puffiness. The swiss garden cress evens out the skin tone, the echium seed oil rejuvenates whilst the toning peptides help firm the skin around the eyes. Quite a thick cream, meaning perfect for evening application.
The next morning I could see a difference. My skin looked radiant and it felt softer than usual. I'm not going to say my skin looks 'youthful' as I'm only 19 so of course it does, but overall my skin looks way better than usual. Would I purchase any of them? The serum will be heading my way once ANR has ran out and the moisturiser may be mine soon.
