The Skincare Post: Don't Forget The Eyes

How many of you do your whole skincare routine but forget to put eye cream on? I'm guessing plenty of you, even I forget to put it on. For the days I do remember it, I have gathered quite a selection to choose from. Whether it's dark circles, puffy or dry eyes, I've got it all covered for you. A pick of two for both morning and night, take your pick ladies.

I don't sleep enough and even if being moody is a massive side effect (sorry mum!), it comes along with a price of puffy & slightly dark circles. Thankfully no one in my family suffer from dark circles but I see them creep up on me every now and then. If they're particularly puffy, I will use Simple Kind To Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll-on, which as the name suggests, a roll on eye gel. The little metal ball inside the tube stays cool, no matter what the temperature in the room is life, something which feels amazing on a morning. Whether the actual gel does anything, I'm not too sure as my eyes never feel super hydrated afterwards. But as everyone knows, Simple is all natural (well as natural as something can be from Boots) so it must have some goodness in there. The next one for a morning is Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream. I've reviewed this already here and I'm sure people already know how much I love it. It adds brightness and radiance to under your eye area. That is something I love and I always sneak a little up onto my cheekbones as a cream highlighter.

By the time it gets to the evening, my eyes are looking tired and need something to attack the dark circles. In steps Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Gel, the eye sister of the famous ANR. Both products I love, but I feel this works better for me. I take a small amount and massage it into my eye area, without pulling on my skin. The gel consistency means it sinks straight into my skin, but I have been able to see that the skin around my eyes is no long as dehydrated. However, when I feel as though I need extra hydration, I reach for Jurlique Herbal Recovery Eye Cream*. This is one out of them all which feels like a proper cream and as though I'm getting real hydration from. All the others are brilliant but they're for targeted  problems, this one just takes away any dryness I have under my eyes and hydrates it. I usually find the morning after I use this one, my eyes aren't as puffy & dark, maybe it's because the skin is still hydrated. Either way, this is brilliant.

So remember to apply your eye cream before your serum and moisturiser, otherwise it's not going to work. What is your favourite eye cream?
