The Budget Buy: Champneys Super Rich Cleansing Balm

This is something I've been excited to write about for a few weeks or so. As you saw recently, I'm going to be trying out 'budget buy' skincare and make up, but mostly skincare as I sometimes blog about things which are out of people's reach. I'm not saying this a dupe to the Emma Hardie Cleansing balm, but it can be used instead of. I haven't owned Emma Hardie's version before, but I have sneakily used my sisters before and it's heavenly. Champneys Super Rich Cleansing Balm is only £13 from Boots and for how little you need, it will go a long way.

Champneys Super Rich Cleansing Balm is an oil based balm, which has very small exfoliating beads in it but not enough to irritate the skin. I take a small amount between my fingers and massage onto dry skin, before wiping it away with a warm flannel (I've realised how useless muslin cloths are). Usually I take my make up off before using this, however it does do a good job off taking away face make up, mascara not so much though. I usually do a double cleanse with this if I'm taking my base off with it. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean, obvious but it has that 'clean feel' to it. If you're comparing it to Emma Hardie, this is a lot softer due to the oil in it. However, even though it's oil based, don't let that put you off it if you have oily skin as balms are good for all skin types.

Have you tried any other cleansing balms?
