Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I'm Lucy. I document my life, travels, food, favourites here...

The Monthly Favourites: July '13

This month there's some good old favourites and some new things popping up in here. Even though I've been trying a lot of new products this past month, I keep going back to my holy grail products because I can always rely on them. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser and NARS Creamy Concealer is my dream team. Concealer on first in the places I need it and then a little of the tinted moisturiser next, it's flawless and I have worn that combo nearly every day this month. On the days I haven't worn that combo, I have been looking towards Urban Decay's new offering. Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Definition Pressed Finishing Powder* is the latest product in the Naked family. Think Chanel Les Beige, but the Urban Decay version. I am not a powder at all, I own one finishing powder and I rarely use it as it's loose, so I wasn't sure of this at first. I have the shade Medium, so I'm only able to use it now as I'm fairly tanned. I usually use it on the days I'm not really doing anything, a light dusting just evens everything out without giving me lots of coverage. Trusty L'Oreal Brow Artist has been used every day as my MAC Fling eyebrow pencil is coming to the end.

I've spoke about the Origins moisture masks plenty of times on here, but I've stepped away from those now. Aveda Intensive Hydrating Masque has been my new favourite now. As much as I love Origins, their masks can feel a little too heavy, even on the evening. The Aveda masque is a gel like consistency and feels like nothing on your skin. I leave it on for about 10 minutes and wipe it off with a damp cloth, leaving my skin no longer dehydrated. I feel instant results with this mask, which is something I always expect from masks. I'm thankful for this little product, Bumble & Bumble Thickening Creme Contour*, my hair has never been so voluminous. A little of this rubbed into the roots and on the ends after curling my hair, it just equals volume. I cannot recommend it enough. I bought this Caudalie Make Up Remover a while back, but only because I had to spend a certain amount to get free delivery (Space NK, I'm looking at you). I didn't think anything of it at first, but it's really good, nearly as good as Bioderma. Plus it smells like grapes which is always a plus point.

What have you been enjoying using this month?

Luce x
