The Make-Up: Bourjois Colour Edition 24H Shadows

You might have heard about the new Bourjois Colour Edition 24H Cream to Powder Shadows (what a mouthful), so when I saw Alix post about them on her site, I was sold on this shade. Luckily Boots was having a 3 for 2 on all beauty products, so I was able to pick up some other goodies too.

I picked the shade Prune Nocturne, which is an aubergine shade and looks slightly different on everyone. I have been experimenting with purples recently, after realising that it really makes the green in my eyes pop, so it was a perfect pick. It's a very strange texture, it doesn't feel very creamy but also not too powdery. I like to apply a cream shadow with my finger before blending it out with a brush, this way is the best to get a better colour pay off. It blended out perfectly with a MAC 217 around the edges and when brought out underneath my lash line. There is a lot of glitter in them, so if you're looking for that sort of thing, it's here. I'm all for a glittery eye and it's a perfect shade for a one shadow smokey eye. The downside of these is that they creased on me pretty much straight away, which is a little disappointing. A typical cream shadow wouldn't usually, so it will be because it turns into a powder. So if you have oily lids, take that in mind and wear a primer!

Have you tried any other shades of these shadows?
