Best of 2013: Skincare & Haircare

2013 is coming to the end and I thought I would finish the year with all of my favourite products from throughout the year. I don't tend to do favourites every month as I forget about what I use, so this is a good way to show you exactly what I love.

Starting off with the category with the least products - haircare. A brand which stands out the most for me this year is Bumble & Bumble as I finally got to grips with some of their products. Three favourites from their range are Dryspun Spray*, Semisumo* & Quenching Complex*. A texturising spray, a texturising wax and a leave in conditioner for the ends of my hair which all help my dry limp have some life. Another product which I have mentioned over and over, It's A 10 Leave In Product, is a staple of mine as I use it every time I wash my hair without fail. I've used it for so long now, I don't know what my hair feels like without it in. Aveda Smooth Infusion Style Prep Smoother* was a product which came into my routine later in the year. A smoothing serum which I apply to my hair after blow drying and straightening, as it soothes any frizz which may be on the ends or around the scalp.

Now you all know I love my skincare so it took me approx 30mins to really pin point this list of favours for you all. I may have left a few bits out but I have tried my hardest to include everything I love. To remove my make up, I stick with L'Oreal Micellar Water. It's cheap and good to my skin, exactly what I need to remove my eye make up. It may be cheating by putting this in but I've loved it so much this past month, Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Oil has been amazing to remove my face make up. Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm* has been a firm favourite since the summer, it removes everything from grime to make up so it's a good all-rounder. As always, Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish* is a favourite. It's the cleanser which I use in the shower to cleanse my skin.
Ever since using both Pixi Glow Tonic and Origins Make A Difference Plus+ Rejuvenating Treatment Lotion*, I have seen a big difference in my skin. Glow Tonic helps remove all the dead skin cells and the Treatment Lotion helps with my dehydrated skin. Liz Earle Exfoliator* is a gentle exfoliator which doesn't irritate my skin, it's very kind to sensitive skin. For a deep cleansing mask, I have been reaching for Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask* as it's a deep cleansing mask which doesn't contain clay, so it won't dry my skin out even further. For a hydrating mask, Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask* has been another favourite. I found that with the Origins masks, they can be quite tacky on the skin and this is the complete opposite.
Most days I suffer from quite dry skin around the eyes, so I use Origins Eye Doctor* every night and most mornings if the bags are little puffy. For the extra hydration I always ned, Origins Make A Difference Plus+ Serum* is something I reach for pretty much every day. I'm coming to the end of this bottle so next payday, it will definitely be repurchased. Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment* is a face oil I have spoke about a few times now and I still really do love it. My skin practically drinks it up and leaves it feeling amazing in the morning. Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser for Dry Skin* has been my everyday day moisturiser for a few months now and I really do love it. It's one of those products which does as it says on the bottle. Origins Night A Mins is my go to night moisturiser, it's super hydrating and helps rejuvenate the skin throughout the night. For even more hydration, I have been adding a few drops of Dermalogica Hydrating Skin Booster*.

What has been your favourite skincare & haircare product of the year?
