Save or Splurge: Red Lipsticks

It's coming up to Christmas and what better colour lipstick to wear than red. I have a fair few red lipsticks but these are my favourite out of them all. They are various different prices so I thought I would post a quick run down of them all. I do think that you don't need to spend lots of money to get a good lipstick, as the high street has plenty great ones.

First up is a lipstick crayon in Fire by Lord & Berry*. I have a few of these and they are seriously pigmented. They are a matte finish, but very creamy and last all day long. As they are a pencil, they are very easy to apply and you can easily achieve a perfect lip line with these. Whenever I do wear this, I don't feel the need to wear a lip liner as they don't bleed at all. The good thing about Lord & Berry make up is that it's readily available on ASOS, so you can shop for clothes and make up at the same time.
Next is one which is a little bit more expensive, Russian Red from MAC. A firm favourite for many people and I can understand why. I do wish it was a little darker than it is, but I have a feeling I might pick up Diva by MAC for a darker one. It's a matte finish and MAC matte lipsticks are very matte and quite drying. Do take note of that when buying them, as sometimes people can be quite surprised. However they last all day long and you will rarely need to reapply it, maybe only after eating.
The final one is a berry toned dark red, well it is quite berry toned on me. Rimmel Kate Moss 107 is a popular lipstick among bloggers and I can understand the hype, it's my second winter wearing this lipstick and I still love it. It does tend to bleed a little on me, so wearing a lip liner with this is a must. Again, it's matte and very drying, similar to the MAC lipstick.

I like red lipsticks and I really want to try the Hourglass liquid lipsticks, they look amazing. What is your favourite red lipstick?
