I really like using a cleansing oil to remove my make up, before I use my usual cleanser. Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Oil is a new one to me (big hint at which skincare brand I now work for) and it removes my make up perfectly. It's part of the parsley seed range which is Aesop's premium range, which is full of antioxidants and is suitable for most skin types. I would suggest that most people can use this, but maybe not if you suffer from a lot of acne as it may be too much for your skin. The second cleanser I use is Antipodes Juliet Skin Brightening Gel Cleanser*, which I use both on a morning and an evening. I do think that this helps brighten my skin, but whether that is a myth or not, I'm not too sure.
Since stepping up the hydration, Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask* has been my best friend. I've been using this as my evening moisturiser, when I haven't been using an oil. It's always completely sunk in by the time I wake up in the morning and my skin feels plump and not at all tight. I do find that sometimes when I don't put enough moisturiser on, my skin can feel a little tight, which I think is from the dehydration. As my morning moisturiser, Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser for Dry/Sensitive* is nearly finished and I really love it. I have been using it every morning and I cannot fault it, it does exactly what it says, which I like a lot.
