This juice is for the beginners who are hoping to add a green juice into their diet, as you can easily mask the 'green' taste with ginger and citrus.
So I've become obsessed with juicing since I bought a juicer at the beginning of this year. I've always bought juices from Whole Foods or Planet Organic, but my god they can become expensive. Enter my need for my own juicer, which I certainly think I have already got my monies worth. This juice, my super easy green juice, is my go-to juice which I like to make in bulk so I can keep it in the fridge for the next few mornings. Fresh juices will usually stay good in the fridge for two to three days after being made, so I always like to make it on a Sunday morning for the next few days.
6 Celery Sticks
4 Green Granny Smith Apples
3 large handfuls of Spinach
1 large handful of Lamb's Lettuce (or whichever other leafy green you have in)
1-inch knob of Ginger
Half of a Lime
Half of a Lemon
Juice it all! I usually start with the apples as they're higher in fibre and will sit at the bottom of the juice.
I tend to store the majority of my juices in a large glass twist top bottle, which I picked up from Tiger. However if I have made a particularly large patch of juice, I will then use my empty NutriBullet pots to keep the rest in. For taking the juice with me (such as when I'm drinking it on my morning commute) I have been using a small glass bottle, which used to contain a different drink in and I have simply recycled it. The juice should stay good in the fridge for up to 48 hours after juicing.
