What's On My Face

These past few months or so, I've been switching many of my usual makeup products out for newer releases so I think it's time that I share what has stuck in my routine.

My view on makeup has changed recently as whenever I apply more makeup than usual, I look in the mirror and think I don't look like me, so with that in mind, here is what has been on my face lately.

For complexion, I'm onto my second tube of Bare Minerals Complexion Tinted Gel Cream, this time in a darker shade for the summer and this gives me the glow with a little coverage for day-to-day. I've been testing out the L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation, the latest drugstore cushion foundation which I will use to build coverage whilst maintaining the glow. I'm still on the hype of RMS Un Cover Up Concealer, but also using the Bare Minerals Stroke of Light Eye Brightener under my eyes for when I'm looking extra tired. With the sweaty season in full swing, I've been carrying the Bare Minerals Invisible Light Translucent Duo around to powder with during the day (a small compact containing one matte powder and one glow powder - launches in July). If I have extra time in the morning, I've been bronzing with Bare Minerals Sheer Sun Serum Bronzer, a silky sheer bronzer which adds the most natural bronzed look to a face. Alongside the serum bronzer, adding a little of the RMS Master Mixer along the tops of my cheekbones & temples adds a glow which looks like you've been in the sun all day long, in the best possible way. On the rushed days, I'm sticking to the Too Faced Soleil Matte Dark Chocolate Bronzer and highlighting with RMS Living Luminizer

One of the main things I'm steering away from is a lot of makeup on my eyes, I'm really not feeling it. The problem is that I like something on them, so I've been embracing the shimmery shadows and glitters. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette (you can find Tarte in the UK on QVC !) has covered that need with eight everyday shadows. Being my first Tarte product, I am highly impressed with the quality of the shadows and how little fall down there is. After using many of the lighter shadows, I've been layering my lashes with the nowClinique Naturally Glossy Mascara in Jet Brown (an underrated uber natural mascara which I love) or using Benefit Roller Lash when I want a little extra volume and length. To add even more highlight, I'm prone to using a little MAC eyeshadow in Nylon to brighten my inner eye and also under my brow bone once I've gone over my brows with Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium/Dark. For the lips, I am back to using the Clinique Repairware Intensive Lip Treatment and if I want a little colour, I have been using the Bare Minerals Pop of Passion in Nude
